JSE Niseko Snow Report 3rd March 2021
While a lot of snow has fallen over the last couple of days is very hard to know exactly how much due to the combination of very light snow and very strong winds which blew it all off the JSE snow station! As such we had to improvise and took measurements from the top of the car which was more sheltered and cleared of snow each night at 6pm. Based on that, we recorded 15cm between 6pm on the 1st and 8am on the 2nd and another 25cm between 6pm on the 2nd and 8am this morning. These measurements are purely indicative but there can be no doubt that a lot of snow has fallen across the Niseko ski resort areas! The strong winds mean that the snow has been unevenly distributed but there will be good amounts of fresh powder snow in many areas.
Yesterday's snow report brought to you from a slightly unusual location!
The Japan Ski Experience snow station is located in Niseko Hirafu at an elevation of 200m above sea level.
