Niseko Hirafu Snow Report 3rd January 2021
A healthy 21cm of the lightest, driest powder snow has fallen in Niseko Hirafu and the temperature at 8am was -10ºc. The sun came out yesterday afternoon and our local volcano Mt. Yotei even made an appearance, allowing for rare and beautiful sunset photos from the Niseko and Kutchan areas. However, as is often the case at this time the skies did not remain clear for too long and heavy snow returned overnight. Snow is forecast to fall all week long with the heaviest snowfalls likely to be on Thursday and Friday.
Glorious conditions yesterday afternoon when the sun came out over the winter wonderland of Niseko Hirafu.
The Japan Ski Experience snow station is located in Niseko Hirafu at an elevation of 210m above sea level.
