JSE Niseko Snow Report 21st February 2021
Another 6cm of fresh snow has fallen in Niseko Hirafu in the last 24 hours and the temperature at 8am this morning was -7ºc. Snow has made a welcome return to the area after the warmer conditions yesterday when some local areas even experienced light rain. Temperatures look set to remain low for the coming week with snow forecast to fall consistently from Monday evening onwards, heaviest on Tuesday evening. Conditions for skiing and snowboarding in the Niseko ski resort areas should be superb, especially as the week progresses. Make sure to check the latest Avalanche Information posted yesterday (and every Saturday) on the Japan Avalanche Network if you plan on going through the gates into the backcountry.
A decent top up overnight with a lot more snow forecast to fall over the coming days.
