JSE Niseko Snow Report 17th January 2021
3cm of new snowfall on the JSE snow station in Niseko Hirafu this morning and the temperature at 8am was -11ºc. Disclaimer: a huge chunk of frozen snow fell off the roof yesterday afternoon and destroyed the snow station (since rebuilt!) at which time a couple of centimetres had already fallen, so the total for the last 24 hours should be closer to 5 or 6cm. It is unexpectedly very sunny this morning with fantastic views of Mt Yotei and the surrounding Niseko area. Conditions for skiing and snowboarding should be excellent. More snow forecast to fall later today and all week long.
A wonderfully bright and sunny morning in and around the Niseko ski resort areas today.
The Japan Ski Experience snow station is located in Niseko Hirafu, Hokkaido, Japan at an elevation of 210m above sea level.
